The Three

"Ryan is hot on the trail of a serial killer who haunts both his past and present life, but which life is he currently living?

Genre: Thriller/Suspense

Ryan is a man caught between two worlds. In one he's a police detective in a crime-infested city and in the other he's a sheriff happily married in an affluent neighborhood. One is his present and one is his past, but they share the same serial killer, a killer that's getting closer. "

Wasn't this what Nick Cage was talking about in ADAPTATION?

That's "Nic" Cage. Occasional errors aside, keep this up and you may have the funniest blog on the 'net.

I do seriously blame Charlie Kaufman for all these writers thinking they can write.

Wait a minute. Doesn't he KNOW which life he's currently living? Because I think they have clinics for that kind of thing. Maybe if we bring in that Aztec bloodlust knife?

Ooooh. It's like psychological and stuff, right? 'Cause if Ryan's all, "I can't tell if I'm living in the past or living in the present," then I gotta be all, "Ryan, if you're living in the past, then your present is the future, right? But then the present is also your past, too? So, if your past and future both equal your present, aren't you, like, none years old? And you're sometimes a detective, but other times a sheriff? Pretty impressive for none years!"

I suspect the serial killer is Alzheimer's disease.

I think ADAPTATION was almost the same, but differing on one key point:

The killer and the cop were sharing the same body, not two different law officers.

The man in Kaufman's screenplay was chasing himself!
